Notes for the Genus:

Rhinephyllum

The genus Rhinephyllum occurs in the Northern, Western, and Eastern Cape Provinces. These rough-leafed mesembs have a number of growth habits from quasi-annuals, to small shrubs and small clumps with tuberous roots. The scented yellow or white flowers appear in the late afternoon and evening. Most are spring and summer growers and can take a little water all year. These hardy plants are easily propagated by seed or cutting.
