Notes for the Genus:

Ruschia

Ruschia is a large, heterogeneous genus of plants, which is still badly in need of revision and, as such, any list of species is unstable. Hartmann has noted that 423 species have been named. Dehn revived the genus Antimima in 1989, which saw the transfer of many Ruschia species into the resurrected genus. Since then, there has been a trend to transfer Ruschia species into genera such as Acrodon, Amphibolia, Ebracteola, and Eberlanzia. There are still around 200 described species on some lists. Further research will no doubt see more transfers and other species reduced to synonymy.
