Notes for the Genus:

Dracophilus

The genus Dracophilus occurs in southern Namibia into the Northern Cape Province. The genus is characterized by its clumping growth, the bluish-green or gray-green leaves are paired and three-angled. The lovely leaves are complemented by attractive pink or purple blossoms. The genus is closely related to Juttadinteria, but differs in flower structure. The plants prefer a warm, dry situation and are rot prone. They are easily propagated by seed.
