Notes for the Genus:

Nelia

The genus Nelia occurs in the northwestern part of the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The plants form compact clumps. The leaves are of thick, green to bluish-green in color and elongated or short with serrated margins. The white flowers appear in the winter months. Nelia should be grown in a well draining, sandy medium and water sparingly – the plants are drought-resistant and the leaves crack badly if the plants are over watered. They are propagated by seed.
